Wiccan laws

Basic Wiccan Laws
1) - An ye harm none - Do what thou wilt. (More on this in the power section)

2) - Whenever possible, practice your rites outside within nature...If not possible always add natural elements to your altar.

3) - Seek out wisdom in books, rare manuscripts and poetry..but seek it also in simple stones and fragile herbs...the cries of birds and the whisperings of the wind and seas..If you seek Magick - This is where it's Secrets are preserved.

4) - Ever remember that the old ways are constantly revealing themselves...Therefore be like the WILLOW that bends and sways with the wind.. For that which remains changeless shall outlive it's Spirit, but that which evolves and grows will shine for centuries.

5 ) - Share what you will of your ways with others that seek wisdom, but HIDE it from those who would use it for destruction.

6) - Mock not the rituals, spells or beliefs of another..for who can be certain that yours are greater in power or wisdom?

7) - *Importan* Ensure that your actions and motives are honourable, for all that you do shall return to you three times magnified - be it good or baneful.

8) - Be wary of the one who would dominate you, or control and manipulate your workings and reverences. True reverence for the Goddess and God occur WITHIN..Look with suspicion on any who would twist worship for their own gain and glory, but welcome those who are suffused with LOVE.

9) - *Most importantly* - HONOUR ALL LIVING THINGS WITH LOVE AND COMPASSION - FOR WE, TOO ARE OF THE BIRD, THE FISH, THE BEE, THE TREE, THE SUN, MOON AND PLANETS... DESTROY NOT LIFE SAVE IT BE TO PRESERVE YOUR OWN.

The Wiccan Laws Of Power 1) - The Power SHALL NOT be used to bring harm, injure or to control others in any way..but if the need arises, can be used to protect your life or the lives of others. (This includes love spells, which actually are a form of control when done on a specific person ,and are hence forbidden by true Wiccans). 2) - The power should be used only as need dictates. 3) - The power can sometimes be used for personal gain, as long as by doing so, it harms no other.(This is where proper wording comes into play...you cannot do a spell for dollars without including the words "Without bringing loss or harm to any other" or else a relative could get hit by a car, leaving you $$ in his will and you would be the cause of his death!!) 4) - It is unwise to accept money for use of power, for it quickly controls the taker,,,be not as those of other religions. (True Wiccans will never charge for Tarot readings, advice, lessons or spells..but Witches can...)[Personally, I feel that Power is a gift from the Universe and you should share a gift willingly, without compensation or reward...] 5) - Use not the power for prideful gain, for such cheapens the mysteries of Wicca and Magick.. 6) - Ever remember that the power is a Sacred gift of the Goddess and The God and should NEVER BE MISUSED OR ABUSED.
